Your CHCA Board Dear Cherry Hills Civic Association (CHCA) Friends and Neighbors, We are very fortunate to count among our cohort such talented and knowledgeable people as Andrew McLaughlin. Mr. McLaughlin has kindly prepared a Personal Continuity Planning Presentation and Personal Continuity Plan. We will plan to have Mr. McLaughlin make a presentation in person at our next CHCA general membership meeting, but in the meantime, we feel that his information ought to be promulgated posthaste, given its importance and practical application. In light of current events, including those close to home such as the Las Conchas fire, we are reminded of the importance of planning for such contingencies. Herewith, Mr. McLaughlin: Recent world and local events have demonstrated that natural disasters (and disruptions) can strike without warning. As such, we should all consider some level of personal planning for ourselves and our families. Personal Continuity Planning is the act of identifying important personal resources, identifying potential disasters and disruptions, and planning contingencies to mitigate the risks associated with identified disasters and disruptions. The CHCA have been working to prepare a presentation about Personal Continuity Planning for the next meeting, but felt the timing prudent to email the attached presentation and template to provide CHCA neighbors information about the value of Personal Continuity Planning. The presentation and template are offered as educational material to help CHCA neighbors learn more about the importance of Personal Continuity Planning (pdf 3M). Kind Regards, With best wishes, Neighborhood Watch |
